Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday this weekend! Canada Days, a citywide celebration, presents free festivities at four locations across Toronto including a four-day festival at Nathan Phillips Square from June 30 to July 3, and one-day events at Mel Lastman Square, Humber Bay Park West and Scarborough Civic Centre on July 1. Here are a few standout events.

Come down to the waterfront to enjoy spectacular fireworks over Lake Ontario set to an all-Canadian playlist, inspired by the diverse sounds of the land known as Turtle Island! See and listen to Kinnie Star, Vox Sambou, UNCEDED and more!
Canada Days at Nathan Phillip Square
June 30-July 3, Free
Canada Days at Nathan Phillips Square features an incredible mix of music, dance, circus, and street arts. There will be two stages showcasing current urban, indie, roots, pop and world music by emerging and established artists from across the city, all regions of the country, and around the world including Ron Sexsmith, Buffy St Marie and The BareNaked Ladies! Wow great lineup. Nightly fireworks cap the evenings at 10:55 pm.
Join them on July 1as they celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary with a spectacular fireworks display and lightshow. The show begins at 10:30pm with a 30 second lightshow, followed by 5 minutes of fireworks set to Canadian music, and will end with another fantastic light display.
Centennial Park in Etobicoke
11 am to 11 pm, Fireworks at 10 pm
Spend the day in the park by enjoying the many picnic areas, playgrounds and a wading pool. Take a stroll along the pond or through the Centennial Park Conservatory, with its exciting seasonal plant displays. Also enjoy Rotary Etobicoke’s Toronto Ribfest running simultaneously.
The Giant Rubber Duck at The Redpath Waterfront Festival

Despite bad puns (what a cluster duck!), ruffled feathers and quizzical comments, the touring Giant Rubber Duck will be visiting Toronto to celebrate Canada’s country’s 150th birthday this year at HTO Park.
