If you haven’t been down to the waterfront to check out Winter Stations, go with the kids for this stunning outdoor exhibition before it ends on March 27th.

Winter Stations is an international competition that challenged artists, writers, musicians, designers, architects and landscape architects re-imagine the lifeguard stands on Toronto’s waterfront as whimsical works of interactive public art. And it certainly did!

The eight installations along the shoreline of Lake Ontario include an upended forest, a Japanese-inspired foot spa, a shipwrecked fire pit, a whale constructed out of empty water bottles, a collage of mirrored buoys, a giant ball that doubles as a warming hut and more.

Given that swimming and sun bathing aren’t really an option quite yet, enjoy a delightful Canadian winter beach experience instead.

Winter Stations runs until March 27th.
